Bad mistake by Ripley came out of his box for a ball and didn't get it. Striker rounded him and passed into open goal. 1-0 to Bath on 5 mins.

My gut feel was that Amos would start against Salford.

This may have made that more likely.

Last year Ripley could laugh stuff like that mistake off safe in the knowledge he had no real competition… not this year Connor, not this year!

I agree it’s Amos to start in the sticks 👍🏻

Oh well let's get these mistakes out of the way before the season kicks in 🫣

I'd say the same if we hadn't done something similar in every friendly. The same players doing it as well.

That’s the problem. I know it’s only friendlies but to brush it off as it will be alright when it matters is not how sport works. England can testify to that.

To this day I don’t think it was coincidence Pope started a scoring streak in pre season, took that confidence and mentality of scoring into the season and never looked back.

You have to train and play friendlies with intent.

Like I've said before Ripley is a good shot stopper but for me someone of his build and height he shud be commanding his area with more conviction, he's got to many mistakes in him , Amos is more reliable and steadier option 😎😬

Agnero is too young to be offered a deal. I've not been in the UK since he signed. My understanding is he is special, potentially the best of all the young players. He is very highly rated within the club. I don't quite understand where he came from as I have been told he's actually Canadian.  How a 15 year old from Quebec landed at Vale Park I have no idea.

My lad who has just left school said that Agnero who goes his old school was born in France then moved to Canada but then came over here to play football, how he was spotted though i have no idea

Put this way I've seen enough of Ripley to know Amos can't be any worse 😂😂😂

Can’t be any worse? Ripley made an error in a friendly and now worse than Stevens, Boot and Mehmet. Madness. He’s a decent keeper.

Decent shot stopper but he doesn't command his area nowhere near enough
