No Grant in the squad, which is interesting. Nor Smith. Edit - actually ignore that, there's no Chislett or Byers either, so probably nothing in it.

Lowe starting, which is depressing.

3 trialists. One listed as a #7 makes me wonder if that'll be Diamond Edwards on the wing?

Grant, Smith, Byers and Chiz all arrived together after training yesterday in a mini bus according to my mate who went to the club shop.

I guess they all have small knocks or are building fitness.

Really interesting to see Moore try and get the balance right.

It's undoubted that we have a lot of promising attacking options, but shoehorning them all into the same team isn't the best approach - not suggesting in any way this is what will happen. A Stockport fan I know says that Croasdale will be absolutely vital this year in untethering the likes of Byers, Garrity, Chislett, Clark, and Curtis to create for our strikers.

My silly little theory is that Tolaj and Paton have both been signed as they're a very similar profile (stocky poachers who like linking up a bit deeper), and we expect Tolaj to be snapped up within a year which gives Paton time to adjust to a more competitive league before taking on the role himself. 

Stockley is there as a sort of guaranteed 10-15 goals if the 'gambles' don't work, and Dipepa will be guaranteed a certain level of minutes and have a release clause for Premier League clubs in his contract.

So - we'll start the season with Stockley and Tolaj, with Dipepa seeing a lot of substitute appearances and cup games, and Paton being introduced slowly. 

Tolaj is the most 'Peterborough signing for 500k' player I think I've ever seen.

I don't know much about him but also don't want to put too much pressure on a lad coming from the Scottish Champioship straight away. I'd love for him to hit the ground running but might be a signing where patience is needed for a little bit.

I don’t think there’s a big difference between league 2 & the Scottish championship myself but agreed it may take time to adapt 👍🏻 personally I see him smashing this league to bits
