21 year old Brad Young got 22 in 25 last season, has bagged 79 and 19 assists in 145 games overall (1 goal every 1.83 games), and is from the West Mids like Darren Moore.

He signed a 1 year extension last month but given the level played at, that strikes me as TNS anticipating a transfer bid and contractually assuring they get a bit more money for him. I can't imagine the average release clauses at that level would be gargantuan.

I would hope with our reformed transfer policy of developing to sell on for big money, I would hope we've got someone watching at least to see if the likes of these example 3 have the non-coachables required to step up to the EFL.

I am sure there are plenty out there mate if scouted and i can only assume that if we have scouted the full back then we will have someone out there who is looking at the Welsh Leagues,i just think with these type of players you dont have much to lose but everything to gain from taking a punt on one or two and still be able to promote from our youth ranks

Talking of our Youth and Academies does  anyone who takes particular interest of those levels of the club know who we should keep an eye on who might be the next to be offered deals,any other strikers or defenders? I know the club have been raving about Agnero

I wonder if there was anything in our supposed interest in the Welsh right back from caernarfon 

I've been wondering about that myself , I'm sure i read we were in for him.. Probably a mistake on my behalf though [emoji849]

I used to have a cottage just outside Aberystwyth and it wasn't a great standard in the late 90s/ early 00s. Barry had a decent side and ground about 97/98 that would have held it's own in league 2. Their chairman invested a lot of money. Unless it's improved the standard of the pitches is North West Counties level for most clubs.

Agnero is too young to be offered a deal. I've not been in the UK since he signed. My understanding is he is special, potentially the best of all the young players. He is very highly rated within the club. I don't quite understand where he came from as I have been told he's actually Canadian.  How a 15 year old from Quebec landed at Vale Park I have no idea.

From Quebec but of English heritage.

Hypothesising here but his agent is Beswick Sports, who have a Toronto office and are linked to Stoke based Beswick legal, who if I remember right advised Carol on her takeover. Maybe someone there is a big Vale fan and recommended him to the club?

Yeah I knew he had come from a team in Quebec but wasn’t sure of his actual nationality to be honest. Looks like DCI Doha has cleared it up 👍🏻

They advise me .... but they've never told me there is a great player in the Cameroon I should recommend to the club. My guess on that is Carol has got him in touch with Beswick's, rather than the other way around.

The main man behind Beswick Sports is Gary Mellor who is a huge Stoke fan. A number of the sports team are big Stoke fans.

Adam Yates brother works for them. So does Ashley Hill who use to be on Vales books but they are all mainly Stoke fans
