Does seem incredible he's not had a loan. Everton have Roman Dixon who is supposed to be a real prospect at rightback.

Signing the odd discarded player from PL academies takes me back to the early 2000s when we had a lot of success picking up the likes of Bridge-Wilkinson, Cummins, McPhee, Brooker, Armstrong etc. Not all worked out (Ashley Dodd, Neil Briscoe, Craig James) but some of our best players of that era were picked up having been discarded by a PL or Championship team.

Being a little harsh on Neil Brisco there I reckon. He was a regular for 3 seasons and a key player in the LDV Vans trophy winning side.

That's was most likely because of Brian Horton he had good links with prem sides especially man city and was good at bringing youngsters in.
