Smith has been one of 3 Captains in preseason, so although he won't be club captain Moore still sees him as part the leadership group. I suspect Byers or Garrity will get the club captaincy. 

I think DM, like many managers, prefers a captain in the midfield where he can better influence/drive things

Wouldn’t mind Grant staying as a 4th choice CM behind Byers, Croasdale and Ojo (and even Garrity). As a four in league 2, that’s some depth.

I do agree about Lowe though. Great professional but think his time is done really. He could do a good job for someone in this league but fail to see how he gets in this team in any position

I think it’s one of the youth team that was pointed out before the Bath game at the weekend, I could be wrong though

Nice to hear from DM but I thought Carols interview was excellent.

Phil asked some really tough questions in a nice way but for the 1st time since the family purchased the club I think Carol really gets it.

Brilliant interview, very heart warming and sincere.

I really hope we have a huge success this season for her as much as anyone else.

Newcastle didn't want to sell him and Anderson didn't want to go but the club was in a position of having to balance the books or face a points penalty.  This was the EPL room that was suddenly brought in Newcastle were taken over because the so called "Big Six" felt their positions were threatened.

Have you ever played football?  It’s training, shooting practice, a free hit for the outfield players and the keeper is being peppered from all angles so will be knackered after a few minutes.

If Grant is to stay then yes it can only be to play as back up in CM
