Very good positive interview that shows you the influence DM has got to get players in

One thing I have to pick up on though is that he says he cant wait to see the stadium full 😮 and he is used to Sheff Wed 🙂

Wouldn't it be great to make that come true ...

Even a 10K attendance would make the place look and sound full.

Stadium will fill up if winning games at home .

The support is out there they just usually watching home games illegally away fair enough not everyone can make it to away games ,if don't go home games they do not  put anything into Vale but moan if are rank which in itself is odd behaviour fair enough if live abroad

Fill the ground thar Byers is a excellent signing our new Captain for sure

Amazing how a few people on here have changed their tune after DM’s first transfer window. A few months ago some were calling for his (and the owners) head before he’d even had chance to sign his own players.
Now some think we are going to walk the league and similarly this won’t happen as it’s never that easy!

What a fickle lot some are. 😎

All football fans are fickle though .

I don't think anyone liked the way we got relegated which in itself  created the up and down way in which folk react to anything about Vale

I was in Moore out camp I make no apologies for that, 8 new players or not he still has to get a tune out of last year's lot while creating a winning team with his signings

He as work to do but we have backed him and we will be there, and more importantly the Shanahans have backed him with there coin ,so let's getting that winning mentality going and make Vale Park a enjoyable afternoon or nights entertainment ,cause it's the entertainment industry .

Down to Moore and his merry men

I don't know about calling for DM and the Owner's head, probably a little premature but I think they were justified in wanting to see some proof that the Club was heading in the right direction. I'm certainly happy with how it's going now in terms of both recruitment and tactics, so let's be positive and show support so we get the results we need and want.

I think it was more than justified with just how poorly he did. One thing is for sure, he has to impress this season, we quite clearly have one of the strongest squads so I expect some decent performances.

I said all along to stick with him even saying if he didn't win a game we couldn't blame him or should i say get rid of him considering what he had inherited players wise,I still think he will prove to be an excellent manager for us(which might also mean he will move on sadly)

What I will say now though is that he will have no excuses if he struggles now

I don't like the season loan, I think they should be banned personally but they are always going to be set-up in the favour of the clubs owning the player. It has to be that way.

I would have a maximum loan period of 6 months. That way it stops players going from club a then club b cherry picking the best loans in the previous 6 months, which I think is fundamentally wrong. A 6 month loan enables a club owning a player to get them out to test them in a different environment before reassessing them for the next steps and would aid his development. I'd be happy in the scenario using Shorrock as an example.

It would be interesting to understand the stats around how many players actually on a season long loan stay with the initial club beyond the 1st 6 months.

If Shorrock went on loan i would assume he would go to non league club and not another L2 club. In that scenario he could be recalled anytime.

If the loan system is 6 months only, that would not stop players going from club to club it would encourage it.   As it stands the loan system can be an advantage to either club depending on the situation. A season long loan is not enforceable within the current rules.

I think after some of last seasons offerings DM must have thought what the hell is this! I bet there is going to be a few gone or never get a game . The manner of some of the defeats still annoys! We certainly need a reaction and DM has made one.

Just watched the George Byers interview and having read Sheff Wed forum it's amazing that like me the resemblance and playing style is very much like another player we bought from Wednesday Chris Lines !

It's called being a football fan mate. Happens at every club.

I certainly wanted to see what Moore could do with his own players. But I had a gut feeling he'd walk, don't know why but just my gut was telling me that.

The lack of reaction and lack of points after he came was deeply worrying and concerning. I can understand some people's reaction.

In hindsight maybe he had no chance with that pitiful bunch however even a slight bounce and we'd of stayed up.

Clean slate now for him and can't help but get excited. Some of the signings are the realms of fantasy for us and by the looks of it the cull has already begun.

Bring on Salford.

Disappointing day today. I’ve just had to put a pork joint in the oven because there’s no sausage!

5 Buck cluck with homemade stuffing tonight for me but I'd prefer a Brown's sausage.
