So there not cheating and spending money they can't afford pay like reading did last year?

I doubt it very much tbh and if they did or are then I am sure that they will be punished the same as Reading were with point deductions

Just looking at those signings Morecambe made maybe Ray is ok but the others quite frankly are the kind I'd expect a National League side to make. Don’t think this is some great act of overspending at least.

Wow now that would be another excellent signing

This is truly the greatest transfer window I can ever remember for us. We must have shelled out close on half a million for transfer fees alone you’d think if this happens.

The 16/1 I got for going up would be printing money if that comes off.

We need at least 4 strikers, remember McDermott up front and the months and months spent without Wilson and Proctor. I'd be seriously excited if Paton becomes our 4th striking option.

The Daily Record is very reliable. Looks like more money being spent and he's supposedly very good

EXCLUSIVE! Port Vale close to Ruari Paton deal

Port Vale are closing in on a six figure move for Queen's Park star Ruari Paton, writes Scott Burns.

The English League Two side are set to agree a deal for the Spiders' top scorer.

Spiders boss Callum Davidson has already moved to replace him with the signing of Zak Rudden.

Paton netted an impressive 22 goals for Queen's last season and that has taken him on to the radar of Port Vale.

The Irishman moved to Queen's Park from Queen of the South.

Rudden, who has a proven record in the Championship, will be asked to replace those goals.

He terminated his contract with Dundee today.

Rudden, who was on loan to Raith Rovers last season, came through the ranks at Rangers and also had a successful spell at Partick Thistle.

This is the wildest window of all time.

I know. I'm just gobsmacked. If we sign him too it will have to go down as our most ambitious window ever.

Think we'll sign another center back too??? 🤣

Amazing how a few people on here have changed their tune after DM’s first transfer window. A few months ago some were calling for his (and the owners) head before he’d even had chance to sign his own players.
Now some think we are going to walk the league and similarly this won’t happen as it’s never that easy!

What a fickle lot some are. 😎

He was working with a bunch that had totally given up, not good enough or just couldn't be arsed.  Not even God would have got results out of them.

Now he has started putting a team together and shifting some of the deadwood out, then the fans can judge him at Christmas time.  Think last season he got the full force of fans frustrations from 2 seasons of bad football and the fans could see what damage Fraudcroft was doing at Vale Park, but those close to him were blinkered.

Looking forward to seeing what the team can do this season and feeling very hopeful to see bettering quality football at Vale park from our players.

Don't think we'll need to worry about the defence at this rate! Smithy and Hall will be able to set up a card game in the penalty box, mid game!

I could have sausage tomorrow I hope!?
