I said in another thread how i would love to see us bring in a striker like Michael Smith/Lee Gregory(obviously the wages would need to be decent) but an experienced striker like either of those would score at League 2 level.... like Matt Smith did/does at Salford

Pie in the sky i know but we will see soon enough i guess

Which would have cost less:

Signing someone like Johnson Clarke Harris in a bid to retain league 1 status.

Signing nobody, sacking and paying off Crosby & Dunn, and bringing in Moore & his 4 assistants, with relegation a very distinct possibility, with the catastrophic financial implications that relegation brings.

Sometimes, we have to accept that progress costs money. If someone tells you there’s a better way, they are bullshitting.

Correct. Penny wise pound foolish. 3 times in a <ovf censored> row since last January.

Totally agree Bede mate, hopefully she has learnt that lesson and the hard way,so lets see if she agrees to splash a bit of cash on that striker or two that will help to try and get us straight back up

I have to say out of the squad right now i would only be tempted to keep the young lads,Ripley,Chislett,Clark if he can stay fit and Garrity but I am unsure on Smith who is the battling kind of League 2 CB you need, also i think Ojo would be decent in League 2 but for me he doesn't want to be here,so looking like a major rebuild. I wouldn't want to keep any of the loan players thats for sure

Smith has been poor this season but we know he's decent in League 2. It depends how Moore is planning on playing though. If he wants to get the ball up quickly and Smith will just be used an old school centre back then perfect. If Moore wants to play out from the back then we need to release him.

Listening to Barry Bannan after the Sheffield Wednesday game on Sky, it sounds like he’ll be off from there at the end of the season. 34, but with young legs in midfield round him, would be useful if his fitness was controlled. The Moore connection might help.

He'll go Wrexham or Stockport.

Yeah that’s not happening 😅

Genuine question here, how does a manager decide what formation to play? This season DM just had to work with what he inherited, but next season, Is DM looking at what he has and finding a formation to best fit or picking a strategy first up then seeing what players can fit in where, then the recruitment of the rest begins. Or do we just look for 22 players that can play in a few places then chop and change depending on opposition?

Do we keep Chislett or sell him? Charlton story on him or agent already at work?

Agent I’m guessing as they can’t do nothing till June , but if he goes we will get a fee

Don't get the love in with Clark TBH. He's got just as much of an injury record as Wilson and Jones - don't see why he should be exempt.

If that's Football league world it's just speculative journalism.

However I'd be amazed if he doesn't attract interest. Had a few critics on here but his stats are impressive in an appalling team.

Spot on. Has he even played double figures ?

Another perennially injured crock.

Bit of a long shot   However Bannan is on record saying Moore is the best manager he’s played for , I’m trying to find the BBC radio Sheffield interview when he expressed it , when I do I will post it . But for now
