Synectics Sold

Retire from Synectics yes, but although her letter was quite dubious it was still very strong on her love for the local community and with Synectics sold, Vale is the only platform left for her with that.

Not really, she might use the funds to set up a charity. She clearly loves that side of things and it's a good use for her windfall.

Wouldn't blame the Shanahans if they <ovf censored> off and left us to it. If my mum/ wife/ daughter was Carol I'd be begging her to walk out of the club and never come back.

I somewhat agree, you will see now that people will be wanting her to plough money in,happy to spend her money for her...

I actually think that she will put money in,she will want to right whats wrong, she will at least want to get us back up before she leaves...maybe this is what she meant when she said we will be ok and that is why DM's backroom staff will be announced this week.

Maybe she will tap into the company who bought synectics to put a few quid in,i do think she will be open to other investors as well now if she has a bit more time

The rumour that said this was happening also said the Shanahans were going all in on Vale and wanted to ‘leave a legacy’.

Even investing 20 million into Vale would leave her £150-60 million and revolutionize the club... its their money though but if she wanted to it wouldn't need it all.

Not to mention the interest they'll make.

Also Carol is easily now the wealthiest owner in our history. In the past 30 years or so we had a 2nd hand car dealer, a radiator repairman and a B&B owner in charge of the club.

This sale puts her in the same wealth league as the best L1 and L2 owners easily.

It’s up to Carol what she does and, as others have rightly said, she’s faced enough (justified) criticism to keep the lot if she pleases.

However.

£5-10m of capital into PVFC would be transformative and would likely yield a return if we ended up in the 2nd tier one day.

Dunno. Guess it’s down to what she wants from life. I’d probably take the millions and be off somewhere sunny as the stress seems like a lot. If she is addicted to be a football owner, as many are, then spend the lot Carol.

I've heard from Synectics staff that they've not been told anything about this via official channels, but obviously they've seen the same rumours. The only report is from that one website, so they might have jumped the gun and it's not a done deal yet?

Maybe chance for another company to Gazump them then

If we owe them say £10 million I imagine it will be paid out the sale? So if sold for 180 million Carol will have to pay 10 million of that to clear it or will be structured to pay X amount off a year.

Unless it's written off as part of the deal as well..... who knows

Who was it who posted that Joe? maybe they can come back on and say exactly what they were told now that some of it is out there

Like others have said it depends where Carol’s head is at. Does she want to put 5/10 million into the vale to potentially transform it and deal with all the ongoing stress, or does she want to take a well earned retirement and move abroad and relax and live a life of luxury.

I know which I would choose.
