Can’t find the transfer thread but a very strong rumour Dwight Gayle is signing.

 

If it’s not him we definitely have someone lined up.

Askey / glover / sinnott struggled all through their reigns  did the Tin man have a bounce?  Can't remember Gordon Lees start but in my head I think caretaker Alan Bloor had a mini bounce before we got rid of him!!

I guess we are due one which would be handy given our league position.

If memory serves, we didn't get rid of Bloor, he chucked his cards in saying something like the job was too big for him i.e. we weren't very good then and he couldn't see us getting better with the players we had.  Pretty dark times back then.

I have some concerns about this game.  I think DC will target Willow, knowing how vital he is & not for just this game.  It would really suit Cheltenham chances for rest of season if Vale were without Willow for a long period.

Of the opinion that if there is no  reaction to a new manager from the players and we lose, then it’s simply that they are not good enough to keep us in league 1.

It may take a few games to organise the players, as it did with DC when at the Vale.

I think the presence of Darren Moore in our dugout will take the fans’ emphasis off Darrell Clarke in their’s and hopefully we won’t get a repeat of all that palaver at the end of the home game.
