With 60 points to play for after Saturday, there are plenty of opportunities to make it to mid-table. Tight below halfway and games in hand.

Won 2

Drawn 2

Lost 3

In those 7 games, Cheltenham, Leyton Orient & Bristol Rovers have beaten them and Exeter & Fleetwood have drawn with them.

Should be confident of getting at least a point against these and with a bit of luck all 3 points

Good points Brian, if you look at the last 5 games Portsmouth have won 2, Drawn 1 and Lost 2 - Vale have won 1, Drawn 2 and lost 2 so not too dissimilar.

No reason why we can't win this one but I'd take a point,

Agreed, ideal time to play Pompey, quality loan debuts, hopefully not too windy or wet.

hopefully two footed challenges on the keeper will be considered with more severity than 'play on lads' this time.

I remember Portsmouth manager doing an interview just before they played Cheltenham bemoaning their injury list, although he did state something like "I've not seen or spoken to a manager in recent months that don't have an injury crisis". So that could have played a part in some of their below par performances or results - I've no idea if that has since changed but we do need to be cautious - they're right up there for a reason.
