I enjoyed that one, shows real spirit and grit to come back 3 times.. Seems our attack is our best form of defence... We do love making it hard for ourselves though don't we... UTV

Looking at the highlights, think Ripley might have done better with goals 1 & 3 ?
Oddly enough when you look at save percentage, the stat used to beat our keepers with last season, this season Jack Stevens save percentage is 3% better than Ripley's and Stones is 2% worse. All 3 are considerably better than our keepers last season.

I feel more confident in Ripley than last years keepers. I didn't rate Stevens at all and felt there may have been a keeper hiding in Stone somewhere if we had ever shown some confidence in him rather than consistently destroying it. Stevens likewise may have been a confidence thing as he had improved dramatically this year in the same league.

Ripley is definitely more confident when it comes to receiving the ball to his feet and is better at seeing/playing short tight passes. I'm not sure his kicking is that great.

He has kept us in games but also like last season there have been a few where we have let in every shot on goal. It may be something to do with the type of chances we concede.

Summary is I don't think Ripley is the messiah that he is often made out to be but I do think he is a decent keeper at this level and is an improvement on last year.

I honestly cannot ever be convinced about Gavin Massey.

People wanting him to get MOM today?

Have a word.

Did anyone see his pathetic chip towards their player, when we should have been on a counter, which resulted in their 3rd?

He was the architect of that! It’s a giff job he passed one in the net to make up for it because their keeper was garbage.

Vale are garbage. The over coaching is why Alfie didn’t clear his lines for their 2nd.
Andy Crosby is getting away with murder. So many papering of the cracks.

Cheltenham will finish above us. Mark my words. And on game number 46 this season we will have either been relegated or it will be on the last day.

You happy clappers have been warned.

It was a lovely finish, anyone with a healthy set of eyes can see that so credit where it's due hey! I agree with some of your points like i'll never be convinced with massey either as he's been here long enough now & he's had a lot more bad games than good. Wasn't man of the match for me but to say their keeper was garbage 😂 the best in the nets i've seen from an opposition team this season especially at Vale park. Wouldn't be suprised if Cheltenham do finish above us they're on a great run since Clarke took over. By the way i'm no happy clapper i'm still Crosby out but there has been improvement recently especially going forward & scoring goals. UTV

OUR defending was awful with two gift goals and as Conlon wasn’t playing I assume he’s on his way as is Cass?

Have you been into the bookies and backed your conviction? You'll get very decent odds.

Incidentally, what are these cracks that are being papered over? I seem to read it so often but never see it explained.

Good morning ladies and gents, I believe just like Oxford fans, we probably surprised you with how bad we are

A thoroughly entertaining game for a neutral but a nightmare for a true supporter of either club. Although you didn't technically 'drop points', I felt we were extremely lucky to lead 3 times and of course my view is, we were the worse team and didn't even deserve a point.

The concerning thing for me, is that without being cheeky, you lot don't have a big budget, have injuries to two of your best players in Garrity and Ojo and of course the talented Arblaster being recalled, yet without all 3, you mustered 30 shots to our 7.. over 4x more shots on goal. An absolute joke.

I believe we are in a genuine relegation fight, and yesterday was a huge game for us where we need to get a win for some breathing space, we are essentially banking on the teams below us carrying on their shocking form.

Our last 4 home league games.

"Let me entertain you"

It was a shame I couldn't find the original gents from my home vlog against your lot, but I did manage to speak to some new fans and they were a credit to your club.

Really welcoming bunch and level headed views pre-match.

My thoughts on the game can be found here via my vlog:

massive thanks again to the Vale fans that hopped on, you set the pace for my vlogs and I probably wouldn't do them without the opposition fans interactions.

I hope you enjoy if you do watch and I genuinely hope yous stay up (based on what I've heard), top fans from what I've come across. All the best 👍🏻

I want him to get time. Shouldn't I be listened to? Or is it just the moaners who get a voice?

Love how people that have a different view are classified being moaners.

Your view is different to mine and you are all the time telling us your view which makes you the moaner

Great video. That incident at the end for the penalty shout and then the ref pulling back play after looked like we might get in off Ripley’s throw was a strange one. Looked like it was a good shout but then we can feel equally aggrieved that he didn’t play advantage on not giving it. No point complaining though, we just had to defend better and it becomes a moot point but same for Charlton I guess. Good luck to yourselves rest of the season.

14th in the league. Not a bad season so far. What's everyone's expectations? We're a small team in league one.

Giving it a go in every game like yesterday. That is all you ask for.

At Aintree all the fans won't care because they're pissed in the beer tent. Or at least my ex colleagues used to be.
