You appoint the best possible manager. Crosby isn’t it. Why settle for subpar coaching just because the replacement might take a week?

We might actually run an interview process this time…

But nobody knew AC wasn't the best manager until he'd been given a chance? Should he have been given the chance - absolutely he should! When a very good coach with an impressive CV, and experience as caretaker manager says he feels ready to take the step up into management, what do you do? Give him the opportunity to progress, as you would any player who wanted a move? Or run the risk of losing a very good coach if you say you don't think he's ready?

What you do is a proper recruitment search looking at all the available candidates then choose the best one. We clearly didn’t do that. The only thing I can say that’s keeping him in the job is he does give young players a shot but he’s far from the only coach in existence who’d do that.

And to be clear I’m not one who likes sacking managers in fact very much the opposite but the evidence is overwhelming he isn’t the guy.

He was given the chance twice and messed up both times before being given the job to mess up on a full time basis

I implore everyone not to be clouded by that 2nd half performance. 

What happened in the first 45 was an utter disgraceful abomination. An embarrassment to our club.

He has to go . His position is untenable. 

If he's not gone within the next 24 hours there is something seriously wrong.

It's hard to make a case for him staying even with a second half improvement. That first half was one of the worst I've seen us produce.

You do realise we lost don't you?  And we lost because we were utterly shambolic first half and the game was gone at ht.

It's a lot easier to get on the front foot and take it to a team that's 3 nil up and don't need to do anything other than sot there and let the opposition play in front of them.

We had chances second half, granted, but the damage was done and it would have taken a colossal effort to get anything from the game.

3.0 down at home at halft time and the opposition hadn't even had to work for that lead.

That is shocking.

The simple fact of the matter is that we are going down if we keep this manager.

The goals today were nothing short of atrocious, but the 1st was obviously the worst because heads drop and it then inevitably leads to another. 

He’s chopped and changed the system to accommodate three CB’s so much that I’d be sceptical about us keeping a clean sheet against the Under-9’s. 

Has to go tonight for me, getting a bit of a joke now.
