We've had some horrendous injuries and poor results over the past 6 weeks. There have also been some positives:

Uche is starting to look a real threat

Devine starting to find his feet at this level

Lowe and Debrah look more than useful in a back 3

Big improvement in Sang

Emergence of Walters as a potential starter in the league

We should have 2 or 3 injured and all 3 loan players back for the next game. At the start of the season we saw out first choice squad was competitive.  When players are back and fit there is much more competition to be in that squad than 6 weeks ago. We need a left sided wingback pretty desperately, not because Plant has done badly but because we have no depth there. Cup runs mean we should have some money to strengthen further in January.

Did someone here post the other week that his agent will not let him sign a contract so that he can move at the end of the season?

I mentioned it on here a few weeks back when he was getting a bit of stick that I thought he was a really good player. I really like the look of him and how he plays

Don't believe that - we wouldn't be giving him the opportunites we are if he has. Why develop him and put him in the shop window for others to benefit from?

If his plan is to play first team football in League One then he has exactly that chance here with us. If he sets his sights higher and wants to play Championship / Prem football, no club at that level is going to put him into their first team without seeing him succeed at the level below - if he did sign elsewhere, he'd be back at this level or lower on loan. 

The lad surely might as well sign a contract here and show what he can do in the first team. He's only 17. Vale are a fair club and would never stand in his way if a top club came calling with a fair offer.

I agree. I hope he stays because it makes sense. Just hoping we can congratulate him on signing his first professional contract with Vale when he turns 18.

Hope Leon does not hold a grudge against the Vale (only kidding)

His crossing is excellent and I agree we’re strong in midfield, just feel like we are wasting him there but i suppose he’s needed there with injuries. Much better last few games starting to look like a really good player

Best thing for him at his age is to stay here, get regular first team football and then get a move when he’s 20 to a big side. If he moves now he will rot in some under 21 side
