Was never going to be an easy game against Cambridge, but you have to wonder if we are short of a striker with the injuries to the 2 strikers we have and Willo being managed.

Well done Vale for getting a point.  Smudge you owe Rippers a drink tonight for the penalty save.

That was a tough game. They're a good team and they brought on 3 good players who made a fair difference for them in the second half.

I think we have an excellent 11 but in certain areas not much beyond that. Desperately need Thomas and Loft fit to give us something from the bench.

Smudge got caught by the ref for doing what he normally does and a penalty given.
Just glad we have a good goal keeper now.

Possibly given on merit for Smudge based on the whole game rather than that one soft decision

What the hell are you going on about?

This forum is crazy.

Vale players say he is a horrible player to have defending when they train, as he plays niggly even in training.  Some times he gets away with it and this time he didn't.  Ref had been watching him after warning him earlier in the match - so probably like you say given after multiple niggly instances.

Well done, Crozzer and the lads - a good away point at a difficult place to play. We perhaps should have won this but our subs weakened us once Clark and Wilson went off. Recruitment has been very good this summer but we are still 2 wing backs and a striker short, so roll on January - and a decent league cup run to pay for it!

Ripley kept us in it the first half, last season that header would be 1-1 at HT. Soft for the goal I think, maybe I need to see it again. Any penalty save is a great save. It is great to have a steady keeper,

Plant tried to do much and gave the ball away a lot.

Massey was sharp for his chance but was never gonna score.

In all, I thought we were poor, too much passing and poor crosses into the box. Maybe I shouldn't be disheartened with a point away, maybe its because of the high standard we have already set ourselves this season.  I think we will be a steady top 8 team which is huge progress on last season.

Hopefully the start of a new run. Undefeated in 1. 🙂
