To be honest, no one is forcing you to buy a ticket

If you do not like the price then don't go

Quite so. But it is unreasonable to charge away fans the same price for standing in the open as they are charging home fans in the best seats.

Edit. Just discovered that the home fans in the seats don’t pay the same as the standing fans - they pay £36!!!

Just had a look at the Rovers website. Their fans are being charged £26 to stand on the terraces too but the difference is they will be mostly under cover. So presumably they satisfy the league rules about not charging away fans more than home fans because some of their fans will have similar facilities (or non-facilities) to Vale fans at the same price.

It's hardly cheap to sit in the Bycars. Standard price.

Also as a night match all the diehards will be there whether it's 15 quid or 30 quid.

I don’t personally think it's extortionate and I was one of those soaked to the skin a couple of seasons back.

I didn't mind the drenching because we won..and I actually like the Memorial Stadium, but £26 is comical for that open terrace. They must struggle to suppress laughter when people actually pay it.

Is it within the rules to charge what you like ?
Or at least reciprocate when they (and others who also charge more) visit Vale Park ?

By the way, are there teams in our division that charge less than us ?

There's a few teams that do reciprocal away pricing. I like the idea of it.

Pretty sure Barnsley and Charlton were cheaper than Vale.

Think we are all a bit precious about this .

25 quid for the Bycars for away fans. Which according to the majority on here is a hovel.

Think the OP is basically unhappy with no seats available which I agree with but let's not make out our away facilities are value for money at 25 quid a pop so we can  hardly call out others.

Twenty quid is indeed plenty for any game of football.
