Any sign of Davo666 yet?

That was a good win today. Carlisle look a team better than their results so far. We didn't concede but we did give the ball away too much. The young players taken on loan all look useful and Arblaster is an  'established regular'. I suspect we are not as good as our league position? But if we beat Crewe and get a result at top of the table Oxford who knows.

A great opening and then managed the game well when Carlisle got a hold of it. Thought they looked pretty decent but our defence is very decent, reducing Ripley to little more than a few long-rangers to deal with.

Not a perfect performance by any means, but Clark and Arblaster were again our best players, as they have been in every game they've started. Work to do in the final third at times but as Devine grows into things and with another forward, we'll look a very nice side.

I think the most exciting thing is that there's clearly much more to come from this team. We're far from clinical right now but that's something that can be worked on. I think there's goals to come throughout the side.

Thought we deserved the 3 points today but should have put the game well and truly to bed. Carlisle huffed and puffed and we allowed them to stay in it. Though looking at their results so far this season they look like a team that won't get turned over often either home or away. Young Plant is going to be a superb player in time and someone that will get us a 6 figure transfer free.

Not a Massey fan by any means but I thought he was excellent today, ran himself into the ground and especially in the first half was very lively and if he puts in those performances, he will win those supporters around including myself.

He does put the mileage in and he's physically strong. He's competent on the ball. I thought we needed him today when Carlisle had possession.

I hope Plant gets a game in his best positions soon. I think looks what he is - inexperienced in the left back position. But he got a nil - so maybe I'm over critical.

Yeah, though the fact Crosby trusts him enough to play him their despite it not being his position and his lack of experience only shows how mature and well thought of he is. I think he'll be a forward thinking midfielder with an eye for goal.

Thought it was miles off in the ground but Garrity's disallowed goal looks onside on the highlights. Defender on the six yard line and Garrity looks, at worse, in line with him.

Solid performance today with some really good football at times. Thought Chislett was man of the match personally but Arblaster, Clark, Iacovitti and Ojo were all excellent. Not a fan of Cass by any stretch of the imagination but that was the best I've seen him play for a long while too.

Keep the faith!

The season when we didn’t get a penalty seems so long ago.

He's starting to remind me a little of Kevin Kent. When he first came I found it inconceivable Rudge gave Gary Ford and 80 grand for him. Ford was a great player for Vale. Kent kept his head down, worked hard and found a way to become an effective player for the club. Pre injury Ford is in my top 10 right sided players for the club; Kent isn't but I grew to respect the contribution he made.
