Mr Reliable should be a solid choice for captain. It didn't seem to work before when he was given the armband and his form dipped, but hopefully now he's older and more experienced he can take it in his stride.

It does make you wonder if this is the beginning of the end for Conlon. Crosby more than likely doesn't view him as part of his starting 11 and his injury means it'll be a while before he can even fight for his place.

A leader by example.  Not one to get in the refs ear which I think we still need to be cuter at, especially when it’s Smudge who needs to be ‘protected’ (following post pinching retaliation 😉).

Hopefully our captain Smith will be thought of more positively than his local namesake in years to come.
