Aidan, thank you. Big part of our promotion winning team. Good luck with County and all the best for the future.

Not sorry to see him go.

Maybe one day, but just never convinced me.

His two cock ups at Wembley were forgotten about, but could have been catastrophic.

Bit churlish, since he got us there in the first place in the penalty shoot out. Could have, should have, might have been - but weren't catastrophic in the end - I seem to remember us winning that game. I wish him well - he would have been a good second string keeper, and learned from Ripley, so now we need a decent reserve keeper.

Not churlish at all.

He made two mega cock ups that we got away with!

Move on.

I have done - into League 1. As you say, we got away with them - and Ripley will doubtless "get away" with some too.  Coulda shoulda woulda - big deal.  Didn't happen.

Will always remember his performance in the Swindon PO 2nd leg. All the best youth.

He'll do well in L2 and has a decent chance of a second promotion from that level with them.

He served us well and good luck to him in tge future

All the best to Aidan. He contributed big time while he was here. I remember his performance at Salford in the promotion season, when the season was very much in the balance.

However, he is at an age where he needs to be No1, and that wasn’t going to be here.

On reflection, yes, a little bit churlish. Not my usual style.

A somewhat emotive reaction, in truth, based on the goalkeeping situation over the last two seasons. Something that DF acknowledged, and has acted decisively on by signing Ripley.

I feel far more content with this option.

Just never felt comfortable with Aiden between the sticks.
