They've done it!

The thing with the bigger than us debate is it's all about the here and now.

Rotherham were reinvigorated by their new stadium. I've been to Millmoor a few times where there was less than 4000 there including at least 400 plus Vale. Now they generally top 10'000 each game.

Back in the day we were way bigger than Bournemouth. Obviously the attraction of the seaside led to good Vale numbers in a small attendance. Bournemouth would bring 200 to Vale. They are now cash rich and still have the same stadium.

We are not helped by being a two city club.

Luton have proved anything is possible. Beating clubs with double and treble their attendance and budget.

That's why League one has seen recent promotions for Burton and Wycombe into the Championship. Because all the stars aligned and they believed.

It's no use wallowing about saying oh look at Derby Ipswich Wednesday etc we have no chance. Of course we do. Astute recruitment and an identity worked for Burton and Wycombe, budgets and fan base clearly and mostly are a factor but it's absolutely possible to do.

If we aren't in the top 3 by October I'll be fuming 🤣

'Astute recruitment' doesn't mean 'spend millions on strikers'

Darren, If we aren’t in the EPL in three seasons, then we have to question our existence.

It doesn't matter if they get stuffed IMO, after the years of pain they have suffered I can't imagine they will mind getting beaten by Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool etc
This is what most fans say until they have watched 10 losses in a row. It then changes just look at the 2nd half of our season.

Absolutely.

Mullen and Longstaff achieved the same aim.

One cost thousands in transfers and wages. The other matched Haaland at one stage for goals and was purely down to good research and scouting.

The very sad reality in the bonkers world of football is Edwards could be sacked in November.

A fair number of clubs pull the trigger once the results turn. Forest were very very close to firing Cooper if the media were correct and I'm glad for him that they stayed up.

So do you agree that asking to sign players like Jonson Clarke Harris would be down to cost and not good research and scouting

My friends who follow the Hatters home and away are both pleased and excited about their promotion. However they say that the club will now become unrecognisable, with favourite players leaving and mercenary players coming into the club. They do see this as the ticket to allow them to move grounds, even though they’re physically and emotionally attached to the Kenny. They also see this as a kick in the teeth to the authorities who deducted all the points off them forcing them into what is now the National League.

Yes. I've not suggested we splash stupid money.

He's unrealistic and anyone thinking otherwise is deluded.
