The number of games that Massey has played indicates that the backroom team believe it is working out.

Joint 4th top scorer, only one off being joint 2nd top. Third least games of the top 6 scorers - obviously signed because:

a: some Vale fans hoped we could bring him back

b: I'd suggest he was signed to appease some fans?

c : I feel he has enough about him to have a roving role in midfield - if we don't know what he's going to do, how the Hell can the opposition?

I don’t think you can use he performances against kids in the JPT games as a measure of his impact this season.

I’m not saying he’s a bad player btw just he doesn’t fit our play.

The much maligned Dennis. Can do more in one dribble or shot than Massey does in a whole game. A genuine talent who needed a run of games to get the best out of him. Yet another who had a game here or a game there. I don't think he was ever played as a forward,always stuck out wide where he rarely saw the ball.

Our use of the loan system this season has been terrible - I think any Vale fan could have selected 5 players available on loan,and done better than the club has. How on earth it was overseen to have at least one loan player out of the squad every week of the season is beyond me.

I feel sorry for DP, but there is no saying that he wouldn't fit into ACs plans; He will have his own thoughts going forward - I would love to give DP another season in a role suited to him - as you say, such a lot of talent.

I have the same impression of him from his interview after the Jan transfer window last season and when he’s attended the fans forums.
