Shares Probe!

The only thing that worries me with this is, could all this land the club in trouble too? ie points deduction for financial irregularities?

I am pretty sure that will not happen.

I hope that this is successful and that all of those involved are brought to account. If the courts want any witnesses then I will gladly oblige. As late as the 10th December Glenn, Deakin and Miller all insisted that the share money had been paid into Port Vale bank account. This was heard in front of eight of us. Glenn was aiding and abetting this crime and should also be held to account as should, Lloyd, Bratt, Jackson etc

I've heard rumors that there is to be a criminal investigation Once the takeover is complete. The directors will be held accountable and there guarantees call in. Watch this space ;-)

I hope bratt gets dragged thru courts and it gets full coverage in paper and radio. as had my fill of people defending bratt as whiter than white and our saviour. love see the real truth reported. as he brought deakin in and knew abt miller before he left. and to wipe the smirks of oliver and lloyds face once and for all.

Genuine question Birdy, how can you be so sure that we won't be dragged into an investigation by the football authorities? If the police decide there are grounds for criminal charges, it seems reasonable to conclude that financial irregularities have taken place. Its odds on then that the Football League and maybe the FA will both start sniffing around. When Luton were investigated in 2008, the League deducted 20 points and then, quite separately, the FA took a further 10 points. We all know what happened next.

I'm not saying there's anything on the scale of Luton's quite bizarre financial management (for example, paying players' agents through a separate company rather than through the FA) but this may be quite serious for us. The thought of the former Directors enjoying a diet of porridge and water is quite appealing, to say the least, but I'd sooner the police found nothing than the effort so many have put in to save the club be wasted because we suffer a points deduction next season. My point is that, until we know the outcome of all this, we need to be careful what we wish for.

I really hope you're right!

I will happily testify against Oliver for being complicit in this.

Cambridge Don

The FA's stance according to Neil Prescott is that point deductions are given where there is a benefit to the footballing side of the club. In the case of Vale ant alleged financial misdemeanours were for the benefit of the directors in maintaining their power, perks and privileges. Thus it would be very unlikely that Vale would suffer further points deduction.
