Match Thread: FLT G1 Port Vale v Stockport County

Woz will only hit the heights of his previous form when played in his correct position. (Right winger) He's wasted at RWB.

We have a squad that is quite strong in every position, with the exception of up front, given our injury-prone strikers.

DC is constantly playing players out of position. I'm anticipating some transfer activity tomorrow, in and out!

While strikers are injured, why on earth not play Woz further forward. He creates loads when he's in the final third. Why keep him tied up with defensive duties for the majority of the matches????

We've got Cass and Robinson that can play RWB.

Sorry, moaning again, but I'm a bit disappointed with what I'm seeing at the moment with regards to DC "trying to be clever", which, of course, he insists he's not attempting to be!

Losing at home to Portsmouth with an inept second half display, following baffling substitutions, certainly wasn't/isn't clever or big! I'm still a bit raw about it! 😡

I expect more than the attitude coming out of the club at the moment. DC doesn't come across to me, just at the moment, as a manager that wants to win every game.

"We're not far off", I thought we were a long way off on Saturday against a fairly average Portsmouth team.

I do think we have the personnel for a 3 4 3 with two high wide attackers

Why Vale fans have an obsession with slagging off our ex-players I don't get.  Theo is doing a good job on co-com. Good luck to Curtiss.  Why be so bitter?

Don't think it's slagging off. It's an opinion.

Sadly both were hideous along with Mills,Fitzpatrick etc etc .

Small now down with a twisted Ankle by the sounds of it.  Commentators saying the grass is long and one of their players went off injured due to studs catching the grass.

Just hope Small is not serious.

Looked like he was fouled to me, just after having a shot. Straight through his left ankle.
