Pyke was getting a game in League One last season and it did make me wonder if maybe we were that ****ed up at the time that we were making decent players look terrible.

We still need goals from somewhere if we’re to really challenge at the top.

Possibly you are right.

I wouldn't say he was terrible, far from it but Harness has also done really well .

We were so bad it was untrue

Have Bolton got a few quid again now ? They seem to signing players every week.

Surely the best way to judge a player is how he performed for the same manager in the same system previously.

As previously mentioned, my mate is a Macc fans and says Askey knows how to get the best out of Danny. His words were:

"Absolute class, was far far too good for the conference, only stayed there when we got promoted because Salford offered him silly money. Would be a great signing"

Im happy!

Bit far that mate.

Two promotions from the Conference in back to back years, signed by big money Salford. Obviously they went a bit mental with signing O'Connor, Gibson etc so he was forced out in January after playing half the season for them.

At worst he's a decent League 2 option. 'Terrible bit part' is a tad hyperbolic. What piece of information can you give to suggest he will be a terrible bit part player?

Just look at his stats. History is everything at this level, especially as he is being brought in as experienced player. Look how many games he has played for a player of 26/27. He may have promotions on his CV but he didn’t play for Mac that much and at Salford he was playing in a very good side that would have been promoted without him.

Im honestly no knocking your enthusiasm, but sometimes being realistic is a far better view point. He looks to be a hard working midfielder player, but doesn’t have creativity, isn’t the best passer of the ball, doesn’t have a great deal of pace. You add all that up and you just have another Evans from last season.

Im still positive about the majority of the squad and just hope that we can bring a Taylor type player or Clark back before the transfer window ends in October (I think it’s October now isnt it?)

In one sentence you have proven you either know nothing, are making sh*t up or are on a wind up. Based on feedback from Macc fans who have seen him play in this system for this manager he is a very creative attacking midfielder.

Evans was a defensive mid who also played right back... hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Players as in plural?

Irons in the fire, to use a Rudge-ism.

You need a plan B or C even sometimes.

Have you ever seen him play?

It's a very good signing this!

I really hope so. I’d be so happy to be proven wrong. At least with the management team in place you can only think that he will improve.
