Let's just hope him and Monty get on better if he signs

I was very critical of McKirdy after we had played against him his manner and attitude wound me up no end, on reflection it was because he was influencing the game and if he can come in and help us win promotion from this God awful league then so much the better.

What makes me smile are those who pre judge him playing for the Vale based on the fact they "Don't Like him " the thing is, it's Askeys decision along with the Shanahans, if they feel he can do a job then that's good enough for me, despite what I said about him in the past, I will support him if he pulls on the shirt.

Is it getting to the point that all transfers have to be run past OVF before they are given the green light ? Those "In the know" tipping the wink and allowing the white smoke to appear over Vale Park....leave it to the professionals, It's what they get paid for.

Having an opinion about a player who has behaved poorly in both games we’ve seen him play against us isn’t illegal is it?  If he signs for Vale I’ll trust Askey’s judgment but if he dives all over the park and pushes an opponent over the barrier while he’s wearing a Vale shirt I won’t be particularly pleased.

Fair comment.

Askey sounds quite keen on him in his interview for Radio Stoke earlier.  Back in training again next week apparently.

Anyone heard any more news on the trialist from Newcastle, is he still training with us?

I do agree.

 

Maybe pure bias but I like to think Vale fans don't put up with diving like a lot of clubs fans do. I remember Haldane getting dogs abuse early on in his vale stint for not staying on his feet after he'd beaten his man. He did seem to cut it out as time went on.

 

I never really warmed to Uche for the same reason, he'd just inexplicably collapse in on himself if he felt that he wanted a freekick.

Unless he has done behind the ref's back to get a reaction to wind the opposition up to get them sent off!!
