The Sentinel article on 365 is interesting today. It appears Stoke`s £7M loss can be set against 365`s £80M plus profit. No doubt there are other angles to owning a football club, but a few people would not trust MC to run Vale as a business, in a similar way.

 

Its called Group Relief and is available to Companies under common ownership.

 

It isnt something to do for the sake of it though. Would you pay £7m to save under £2m worth of tax?

Of course not, but it is very convenient. However if I am overspending on my hobby, it appears I am getting tax relief, in a similar way to a charity gift.

You and me both, All I say is that its good that money is coming in. Not said it will save us or save us from Admin (could delay it though) and people start with the having a go.

 

I will not be asking Glenn anything, If he wants to tell me then he will.

 

He probably won't know anyway. Leave him to his farm
