Similar to last seasons signings like vassell that everyone had a meltdown over. Somehow it’s different this time around?

 

Anyway good luck to him hopefully he gets a go unlike most of the young midfielders we’ve had recently. Don’t like this 1 year deal business though.

Good luck to him. We are going to need squad players like Burgess and, presumably, Lloyd given we've just got rid of the squad players we've had for the past 2 seasons, and the budget presumably won't stretch to 20 proven first teamers.

How does the quality not quantity argument work when we get to October and we have about 7 injuries?

Made 31 apps, possibly off the bench mostly of course, wiki doesn't clarify.

 

Hopefully we do go for better calibre and he's someone to try and challenge for a spot. Seems to play in the Worrall or Conlon type position so will have to try and break through.

Calverly out - played half of one game

Tongue out - didn’t play

 

Burgess in - won’t play much

 

Squad size reduced

One squad players wages saved (and tongue was on a decent wedge I imagine) to add to hannants wage to tempt a quality player who will actually be hannants replacement.

Well the quantity approach has certainly worked hasn’t it!!

Seems like Askey is shopping in Poundland and his comment about waiting until later in the window means all the best players will have gone and only the dross no one else wants will be left.

If this was Aspin making the signings everyone would be saying why are we signing non league players.

These type of jobs for the boys in non league can wait until we know who is available.These signings are not good enough for the first team as admitted by Askey.

The youth team players are as good as these players.

Surely it is up to Garlick to put the brakes on such signings until the main squad players are signed.
