I do worry that the lad was at Newport who it appears didn't want to extend his loan. So I just hope and pray that he comes here and is a success to help keep us in the League.

Then another club will no doubt move in and whisk him away in the closed season.

That sadly is the way it works at Port Vale these days where we have to feed off the scraps from clubs like Newport's table.

Heavens above how low have we sunk? Thank you Smurthwaite you fool.

From what i have read he was concussed whilst playing for Wales under 21's and never regained his spot in the Newport team.

Prior to that he did well by all accounts and was a first team regular whilst Newport were flying.

Can't recall him when we battered Newport but he played the full game.

As with all Page, Brown, Aspin loan signings though how much game time he will get is another talking point.

To put certain people in the picture.Mark Harris is very well thought of at Cardiff and plays the inside forward/ number 10 role.Crooks was our best player at Crawley.I suppose we should be looking for a couple of 40 year olds looking for a final contract in their careers.I believe that’s 3 and not 2 signings now.

Unfortunately you can't win, we all have a moan and whinge, none worse than me at times.

But plenty of players have done well at lower levels, Adam Armstrong is one, excellent for Coventry from i think Newcastle ?

Sometimes they will pay off, 95% of the time they won't . This is where we are as a club .

I'd agree with Howjy , give me a young hungry player any day over the likes of Ryan Taylor poncing around with no interest. Hes till rankles with me as you can guess !!!

I still say that our position is so perilous that it isn't the time to start gambling on young unknown loan signings.

Unfortunately OS that's all we are going to get while the fat controller is our owner. Anyone who believed Aspin or any other manager we might have had would get £400,00 in the transfer window needs to wake up.
