Q: Have the FA been in touch about trouble at Grimsby?

NS: Yes but he doesn’t know the outcome yet. He has lost count of the number of apologies he has had to write because of a small minority of fans, normally at away games.

He says chanting at JJ Hooper at Grimsby was wrong.

Q Fans says that was just banter and wasn’t racist.

NS says he has had death threats.

NS Says he didn’t want to appoint Michael Brown, but says had he felt that strongly he could have intervened.

Q: Is it true the mentor given to you by the Football League was Karl Oyston at Blackpool?

NS: Yes true. He was given him by the league.

No it was Garlick who appointed Baldrick Brown and it is him who is doing the backstabbing to Aspin because he doesn’t want to be proved wrong.

Didn’t Norman say he would be going when Brown went?

That’s why Garlick wouldn’t admit that Aspin was right for the job when asked.

Obviously Norman was mentored well by Oyston on how to shaft the fans.

NS says: “Neil Aspin is here for a long time, irrespective of what happens at the end of the season.”

Q Do you regret not trying harder to keep Tom Pope last time (summer of 2016). Had we kept him we’d still be in Lge One

NS: Tom and I have a very good relationship. I don’t regret having to reduce the cost of running this football club.

Q Has there been a party lately interested in buying the club?

NS Yes there is a party interested. He goes on to say they are still there. (He doesn’t identify them)

He says he believes Carol Shanahan is the right person, but adds that is conditional on her having the means.

Unbelievable! Totally contrary to what he said earlier in the meeting (that we should forget about the price and concentrate on the right person)

Not understanding the false economies that got us relegated to League Two in the first place.

Someone needs to ask him why turnover is so low and whether he's hiving off revenue for his own personal benefit.

What is happening to the Hugill money.Suppose he,ll try to say it will be used up in the summer and not in his arête pocket.

Has he been paid all the Hugillmoney or is it in instalments?

Q: The club wasn’t running at a loss under the administrators. But now with your loans (3.4m) and the price you paid for the club (£1.25m) that is £4.65m..... for a club which is lower in the table when you bought it.

So, don;t you owe duty to fans to put club for sale at reasonable price. Questioner suggests £1.25m would be fair.

NS You won’t influence what I sell the club for, but you will who I sell it to. Subject to health I will be here until we are back to League One (groans from the floor).

NS says if someone comes along with the means to buy the club, and run it well, then he won’t hold the club back.

21:17

NS: We have a 3,000 hard core and you are 10 per cent of them.

He urges fans not to demonstrate against him.

He says it would be more constructive, if they believe he should go, they should raise £270 each. Says 3,000 fans covers the shortfall (£800,000 plus)

Says if they do that, he definitely doesn’t need to be here.

Says that’s the most positive way of demonstrating to me that you don’t want me.

NS says Vale were close to appointing a different manager before meeting Aspin and being convinced by him within 20 minutes.
