Brexit again...

It’s quaint that you think the USA would want to do that for the UK.

I’m sure someone else on here like Warren will understand the ins and outs better than me but I’m pretty sure a UK/US trade agreement would have to comply with WTO Most Favoured Nation rules, and special treatment isn’t on the cards.

Well,we certainly won't get any special treatment while we're in the EU.

When we leave the EU and leave the single market which is exactly what we should do we can impose tariffs on steel coming in from the EU and protect our own steel works rather than having government subsidised steel coming from the likes of Sweden etc.

Although I think it’s wrong what Trump has done because the US public in a whole will be worse off I can see why he has, the EU and China are quick to impose tariffs when it suits them.

Shows small clips of what he said not giving the whole story.

For example, Farage did say he’d be happy to have a second referendum because he felt it would put things to be permanently and was confident the vote would go the same way, probably even more conclusively.

Just a propaganda video from a group who don’t believe in democracy and want another referendum again and again and will then still complain about the result.

"I never promised it would be a huge success". But you did Nigel - that's exactly what you did. What's fake about it???

Can’t see on the video where he ever said Brexit would be a huge success. He did say we will be a lot better off outside of the EU.

Farage has done his job in helping us get out of the EU, it’s out of his control now wether Brexit is a success.

Liam fox said he was scared of the glut of steel being dumped in England that is usually dumped in the USA. Trump is just standing up for the USA. Need to deal with the real problem and that more than likely involves China and India.

But it was the UK that voted against the EU moves to have 66% tariffs against Chinese steel.

22% on hot rolled, higher rates are on the cheap stuff which we no longer make as it is cheaper to import.

Makes the 25% tariff set by the US sound reasonable.
Depends if the US customers who pay it think so. Highly specialised items which can only be bought abroad and are usually expensive, cannot avoid the increase. The basic stuff can be so cheap that even with 25% on it is still not worth re-opening the foundries in the US. Still it looks good on newspaper headlines in mid USA.
