This one man has divided the fan base single handily. Love him or hate him we frankly have no choice other than to sit and watch him do what he wants.

No I certainly would not welcome him back, as he's never been away!

I am a Valiant, supporting Port Vale, not Norman Smurthwaite or indeed any other individual/consortium who may be in charge of our great Club. As a fan I want my team to be successful. To date this individual has proven conclusively that he does not have what it takes to be successful in the Football world. Unfortunately I and others have no means of changing the ownership of Vale so as much as it hurts to admit this....we have to see what he does next.

He gets criticised for staying away and criticism for attending. If it's Norman making the decisions, which it plainly is, he needs to be there in attendance and be the face of the club. So that's a yes

You do know different people have different opinions, and OVF isn't one person?

I don't criticise him for staying away. I much prefer to not have him at the games. Obviously he shouldn't be staying away due to violent threats, thats wrong. Just don't like having him at the club considering the damage he's already caused.

Yes I do realise that there are lots of differing opinions. Mine is, how can anyone make comments or take decisions on the day to day running of any buisness if they aren't there to see the product? Whilst he's here, I think he should be visible and take full responsibility. He is obviously still making the decisions and hasn't passed the baton over to anyone else to do this for him. So whilst this isn't likely to change in the near future, Norman needs to be back at vale park. It would be pretty irresponsible to stay away and ignore the situation. This of course is just my opinion UTV

Ideally no, but I'm not sure we have much choice given the current situation. I also don't see a line of prospective purchasers forming an orderly queue on Hamil Road, so we are stuck with him for now.

I just hope he can keep off social media and concentrate on making better decisions.

He's recently had 2 very generous offers to buy the club so in affect there is a queue to buy the club at the right price.
