Matchday Thread : Port Vale v Swindon Town

I don't think it's a question of has any player forced his way in, with the injuries picked up yesterday it could be a question of who's fit.

Maybe a bit unfair on Turner to expect him to lead the line up front, but I think he deserves a longer stint on the pitch as Hooper and Forrester hav'nt exactly pulled up any trees, and Turner has looked dangerous when he's come on.

He had a decent chance yesterday just after coming on which needed some last ditch defending.

I explained by thoughts on Hooper and Forrester in the Southend thread. They haven't pulled up any trees but it's the formation that hinders them (albeit making us more solid as a side). Turner is nowhere near ready to be starting games, nor are Reeves or Gibbons. Brown needs to hope a few injuries clear up because we desperately need Reggie and Amoros back if not. Also to have a little faith in Tavares may have helped yesterday as Reeves did ok but we lost shape as Foley tried to help the kid out by sitting deeper.

Biggest games of there lives .

Lose well relegation is a defo .

Win well i believe it will get us on a run of consecutive wins .

Lets hope the players who r injured make it .

Last three home games we deserved better i saw that Vale were better than Peterboro who mugged us ,Bristol Rovers a worldie saving them and Bradford where all the fans applauded the performance of the players .

So i think we will get better luck as away we have drew with Gillingham who we were miles better than ,yesterday where by the stats we played well and deserving of a point maybe even 3 if guy had won that header which put us in trouble down the left.

So whoever the team is im looking forwards to it

Just one thing when is Regino Cecelia back ?

Next Sat.

Vale v Swindon

Chesterfield v Shrewsbury

Oldham v Bury

Coventry v Bradford

Gills v Scunthorpe

Wimbledon v Northampton

Massive....

Really don't see Northampton in the equation, they are 8 points ahead of us.

For me and i'll probably be wrong it is 2 from ourselves, Swindon, Oldham, Bury.

Thought Gills were in huge trouble before they won at Bury.

Northampton could very easily get dragged in to it, especially if they have a couple of dodgy results and then we go and beat them too.

All ifs and buts, 8 points is a handy cushion , if you fancy a flutter Northampton are 16/ 1 to be relegated.

Vale are 8 /15 .
