The result is a few hours off but I can pretty much guarantee one thing. In the so-called Brexit capital of the UK, more votes will be cast for candidates who voted to Remain than those who voted to Leave.

It was Johnny Aitch who referred to 'a cattletruck of refugees' or very similar wording, but he didn't get banned = the post was removed but I have a screen shot of it saved. It was in the 'Collective nouns' thread, and in fairness he did apologise though that doesn't undo the damage much.

Where have I heard this before ? Oh yes, on Brexit where huge numbers of Remain voters couldn't be bothered to vote, and some even admitted they made a protest vote but never though Leave would win.

 

The turnout was actually considered to be higher than expected at 38pc given the terrible storm... and UKIP themselves said they thought their supporters were more likely to turn out than Labour.
