If we gave them another 4000 that wouldn't make more money than attracting 500 paying home fans to each game of the season. Effort in the wrong place from a marketing perspective. Not much chance of repeat business unless we get them in the cup.

You make the money at every opportunity, and with a massive away following it would undoubtedly attract a bigger home crowd.

More depressing than embarrassing. Don't need the demise of Vale's fortunes this season being rubbed in any more than neccessary. 4k is enough as they don't need any more of a lift than they already have and our bottle jobs don't need any more excuses. We probably going to need to win the game to compensate for the obligatory away defeats.

It's a shame we can't put the prices up for away fans mind, no matter how immoral that may be

Nothing to stop us having a category system, but it would apply to home pay on the day fans too, so perhaps not.

Embarrassing? Were Wycombe embarrassed when they gave up their stand to us? Where Rochdale and Bury over the last few years embarrassed?

Probably too late now to be honest anyway.

It would literally offer nothing positive to Port Vale. He'd pocket the lot.

With a bit of foresight, the club would've speculated that either the Sheff Utd/Bolton match might have something riding on it and attract an abnormal amount of visiting fans. With this in mind, they could've spent 200-300k finishing the Lorne Street (the Alnwick and Grant money perhaps) with the idea being that the extra fans from Sheff Utd and Bolton could half pay for this when they come in numbers. Worst thing that could happen is that they don;t bring the anticipated numbers and we've got a shiny new stand ready for the next time this happens (paid for by the departure of key players).

Asking a lot from a club who advertise ST's via an excel file on the club website, though.

This game needs to be promoted as a massive game in our relegation fight just as much as all others. We are going to be outnumbered so what can Smurf do to bring in Vale fans . Smurf as I said earlier today you need to thank season ticket holders for what they have to put up with this season. If Vale win this game with all the desire that we all expect we will all go home happy. Every season ticket holder can bring 2 mates with them for a fiver each. Good Friday with no egg on your face. You know it makes sense Smurf so do it,
