I do have a natural mistrust of official statements.

"I did not have relations with that woman" [clinton] "WMD" [everyone who wanted to invade] "I am not a crook" [nixon] are the obvious ones... its rare to release an official statement to simply inform.. a mandy rice?... even in a courtroom setting with people swearing to tell the truth, the whole truth... its extremely rare you get it.

Good job, we couldnt afford either of them for an after dinner speech let alone a 12 month contract.

I'm a season ticket holder and so I attend most home games. Last Tuesday I drove from Huddersfield and back because of where I was working. When at home I travel from Wirral and back. I have been to the away games at Bury and Bolton. If I wasn't a season ticket holder I would be attending pretty irregularly. The team has demonstrated skill and resilience to come back in home games. But the first 60 minutes of most home games and all the away games I have seen have been poor, unprofessional, lacking sensible tactics for over a couple of months.

 

The Oldham game, we had three strikers. One wasn't fit. One is being asked to play as the target man, but isn't suitable. We were effectively playing with 7 outfield players for a large chunk of the game, because the forwards were just not producing in attack (28 minutes for first shot at goal, into second half for second shot etc.). Without the two centre halves, right back and keeper we could have lost that game by 4,5, 6 goals. Knopps left exposed at left back where chance after chance came from there.

 

I have had enough. This is not entertaining. It is time consuming to get to games. Sort it manager and chair now. Please find some sense and professionalism.

Hello fellow valiants :) very rarely do i post nowadays because i was one of the people wanting page out after his negative playstyle on the pitch was boring me to death and i didnt want to start sounding like a broken record wanting yet another manager out . unfortunately this negativity around the club seems to have spread to the crowds at home. i wouldve thought that a more pleasing on the eye style of play i.e not micky adams long ball game wouldve brought some more people thru the turnstyles and yes while our away form is still unbelievably bad at home our record is pretty good. there are a lot of clubs far worse off than us at the moment so just what is keeping the fans away? and can anything be done to improve the gates and atmosphere as i have a feeling our first sub 3000 gate is coming soon......

The resulting complacency of relying on the ageing fan base, not built on since the Pledge 5000 initiative, is starting to show. Look around the stands, few kids, some remainents of the 90's good days and the elderly. The crowd is slowly dying off and we're barely surviving on blind loyalty.

 

Smurthwaite you need to up your game on customer relations and initiatives.

 

Ribeiro you need to reveal the attacking attractive football you promised. A full stadium end of season? Full of what ..
