Matchday Thread: Sheffield United v Port Vale

If Bolton really is £26 that's disgraceful and shows why football outside the premiership is dying. People cannot afford a near £100 day out, once you take transport, food, programme, and match entry and maybe a pint or two into account. In 20 years they will look back and ask why we didn't save our smaller clubs when we had the chance, and a lot of it will be due to ridiculous admission prices.

That's only for cat B too Bea, if we were A it'd be £30.

The power lies firmly with the fans on this issue.

Stay away and see how long they last charging 26.00

In theory it does, but realistically it doesn't, as you & I both know probably at least 75% of fans will pay regardless, as they can't resist going, especially if their team is doing well at the time too.

Apparently we have only sold 300 tickets so they should make it pay on the day. Id imagine people are sick of going there every season to watch us lose there.

think most have chosen the Bolton game instead, new ground and all that

Crazy really considering Bury is actually further away than Sheffield, & the amount we took there. But yeah I agree, probably down to the fact we've lost 7 out of the last 10 against them, mostly being away.

Edit: & that^, I'm going to SU alone but for Bolton there will be 4 or 5 of us, as the rest have chosen that one because of financial reasons, & it's a new one for a lot of them.

Im not going shefield either but are going bolton and charlton away as there new grounds for me and i think we have more chance of winning at them grounds given our past record at brammel lane. I only know we have sold 300 for sheffield as someone posted it on the wonder of port vale site on facebook.

No Foley?

Just a personal opinion-I think some of his recent performances haven't been as convincing as those of last year and against mk I'm not sure he worked in the number 10 role so I'd give pereira a go especially after his hatrick in the reserves.
