Michael Brown

After all the doom and gloom posts on the Anthony Grant thread I thought it would be a good idea to have a threat to show our appreciation for Michael Brown . The guy has held the footballing side together over the summer and is contributing on and off the pitch to our great club. He also doesn't suffer fools gladly so is a good indication that all the BS about players not liking smurf is a little over the top.

 

On the playing side I think he is more than good enough to make a massive contribution on the pitch, if we didn't know his age nobody would think he was 39 and most would be saying he was a certain starter for all matches. He is in great shape.

The guy is a freak of nature.

 

He can be a dirty get but his professionalism is on a completely different level to most. Would love him to become our next manager once Bruno has achieved what he wants to achieve with us and moves on to a bigger club, as that would mean he's done well for us.

Totally agree. Great player, great competitor, great enthusiasm, great example to younger players and great to have him at the Vale.

 

Can't remember who signed him for the Vale was it MA or Rob Page.

What also shows his passion for the game is that he doesn't even need to be here. He's earnt enough money to retrire comfortably and when the **** hit the fan with Page and the players going he didn't have to step up, he could so easily have walked away. A player like him with his experience must be great to have around for the younger pros. And full credit to him as at 39 I think he can still do a job for the team too.
