New Party leaders

I am an accountant and have a degree in business studies. There are vast numbers of people in the UK with knowledge of business finance and economics these days. All with analytical minds and world experience. So when McDonnell stands up and spouts Keynsian economics with massive borrowing intent to solve problems, some of which don't exist or don't need intervention, his credibility is shot in a few minutes.

There are things that could stop the Conservatives being re-elected - mess up Brexit, events beyond control, disenfranchising younger generations further, selective education alienating Tory voters etc. But beyond that Corbyn and company, especially when the media turns the spotlight on their pasts and what they have said and who they have associated with, will be doomed to creating a big Tory majority. If UKIP can transform under new leadership it could also take a significant number of Labour seats. I think this also depends if people who through life view vote labour look at what Labour is actually saying it will do - like Stoke voted to leave EU, Labour campaigning to stay and allow unfettered immigration - then UKIP can prosper.

It is important to remember McDonnell waived the little red book at the dispatch box when speaking in Parliament - that is because he is a communist and he is comfortable with all its methods including violence and murder of opponents to get and retain power.

After all the scummy hateful posts saying Jeremy Corbyn would not be able to last as Labour leader, this delicious irony for the 'gang' of low-life UKIPpers

Dracula's daughter caught in the sunshine. Maybe the story in the pub that they are looking for someone to play the lead part in a film about Myra Hindley is not rubbish, and maybe Nigel the pantomime comeback dame will re-appear.

Believe it or not a lot on this site who do not support Corbyn, like myself are Labour voters. I like a lot of Labour people want to see our party in Government, that will never happen under Corbyn. As for UKIP they are now irrelevant.

Spot on.

Mission accomplished for UKIP with Article 50 being triggered in less than six months time. However, they are still capable of taking votes off both Labour and the Tories, especially in the north.

The most "delicious irony" in all this is that JC's re-election is going to ensure that the Tories are staying in office for the far-seeable future. Ukip is apparently as divided as Labour and although still capable of taking votes from both the Conservatives & Labour will be less of a threat because of Theresa May's move towards a hardened view on immigration. From the evidence of her (excellent) speech yesterday, she has stolen the majority of the political middle ground and this will make it very difficult for any other party to mount a serious challenge!

But not quite as much hate as the right with people like Brevik in Norway and the murderer of Jo Cox just before the Brexit jokevote, and now it seems your hate filled left can learn from UKIP too.....

What a pity the last couple of posts aren't exactly supported by facts.

Not a helpful development for politics in this country. There seems to be so much more pent-up anger and less respect these days for any political view! There are many difficult issues we face as a country whatever stance we take and from whatever part of the political spectrum we come. None of which will be helped by violence instead of reasoned and sensible debate!

I agree but reasoned debate can only be had with those who are rational. Sadly, such folk are diminishing in numbers in politics.
