Who will be the Vales new manager?

I can't believe people are suddenly so full of blind faith in the words of a man who took advice from someone 6 months after they passed away. There was no greater believer in Norman up until the fiasco at Exeter, now I wouldn't believe him telling me night followed day.

I took the advice of rep and others, I dont believe what he said but the PR was just what was needed to calm things a little and perhaps encourage ST sales, which are apparently over 50% down on this time last year [second interview].

I hope it all comes good

No chance of it being Stam....Smurf has said they all agreed to take our wage offer, yet it appears Stam has been talking to Championship Reading and any money they can offer would dwarf ours you would think

The word "offer" is key, the wage packet is proportional. The likes of Stam & the Neville's are wealthy men, they aren't in management for the money.

That is true but its more to do with the chance of managing in the Championship but the main thing for me is if they are so high profile whey the delay in appointing them? you would be doing that right now wouldn't you

how I understood it the candidates are contracted to other things/clubs until the middle of June.

Perhaps, whoever it is, wants to create something he can say is his instead of taking the time to reshape something that already exists... there arent many players under contract at vale and perhaps the retained list players wont want to stay after smurfs interview on radio and video... so very few players and a very small backroom staff could be the incentive to come and build the team from the ground up... we can hope?

He could get the ink on the paper so they start and he could announce as soon as their contract ends.
smurf did say that the interested people had been given the retained list, player details etc. so that they could hit the ground running when they are appointed.
