The problem England have got there arent enough players from the top sides in prem. I mean we had 4 players playing from a mid table prem side just isnt good enough.

It could be said that there are not enough good enough to play there.

Were simply just not good enough. We wouldn't score if we were still playing now. Spain and Germany will destroy us. Wilshere and Henderson were truly out their depth, Lallana does nothing (even though Beechy says he could be world class, lol) Rooney was shocking when he came on. Our best attacking player was Clyne, which says it all. That game last night was crying out for Andy Carroll.

I think its France in 1/4's and Italy in semis now if manage win Monday..

Where is the evidence of that? We've had what 2 shots on target against us? Just because we've struggled to beat these sides means nothing. They sit back and play for the draw. Haven't noticed Germany battering anyone yet and Spain needed a last minute goal in their first game. I think all will be revealed when we play a decent side that might have a go at us.

And all four of them were head and shoulders above Wilshere. Maybe he'd be better off playing for a Sunderland or a Crystal Palace. Not that Arsenal are a top club any longer themselves, mind!

For all the central midfielders in the squad, we miss a Gascoigne or a Merson who could make something happen out of nothing. Unfortunately, none of those who played yesterday in the midfield, with the possible exception of Dier, are international quality and would get close to the France, Germany, Spain or Italy sides. I came into this tournament with some optimism, but I think we are as far away from the top of the pile as we ever have been.

Wilshere really annoys me..holding onto the ball waaay too long then either getting tackled or giving it away in a panic

Lallana gets into some great positions to score or assist but the end product always seems to be missing. Still time to come good though

For me we also saw that Clyne and Bertrand are very much second choice to Walker and Rose

Rooney was embarrassing but I'd persist

Any hoo..we're thru and it's the next game that matters now

Hart

Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose

Dier

Alli, Rooney, Lallana

Sturridge, Vardy

What are you talking about? Clyne was the best player on the pitch by a distance, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Liverpool supporter.

I too thought Clyne was probably our best player. Unfortunately for him, Walker isn't the problem, so he will be back with splinters in his arse next Monday night.

And rightly so, Walker has been sensational in this tournament so far in his couple of games. But he would have had to go some to match Clyne's performance last night. Bertrand was extremely average and not a patch on Rose.
