Vale-Sunday Hoodoo? Nearly 19 years?

Honestly can't think of a game we've won on a Sunday since home or away?

I could be wrong(I hope I am) but it's getting on for 19 years in a couple of weeks if it's the case. @ St Andrews against Brum, 23rd February 1997. Unless of course Boxing Day or the first New year game has fallen on a Sunday somewhere in between? 'Regulation' Sunday's though I'm struggling!

 

We've had 3 goes this season Maidenhead, Walsall, Coventry. Chasetown, Canvey Island. Plymouth(FA Cup) a couple of years ago we were 2 up and chucked it! Doncaster with the Richard Walker tackle!

Yes just looked Stoke as well last time we played them was a Sunday! When Cummins scored!

Not as bad as I thought then!

 

Still we've had a pretty woeful run at VP in Sunday games whatever the case. That's 16+ years(Grimsby game).

I'm thinking Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough 1-0 for an away game? 04/05 season the year after we did well with McPhee n Brooker.

Pretty forgettable game if I'm honest. Think it was early 2005 so it's 11 years if that's the case?

Just checked with Phil the Statto and that Grimsbey game was our last home win on a Sunday ....... 11 games ago! The Chester one was our last Sunday away win.

There is no hoodoo. Past events do not predict the future. We are just as likely to win, lose or draw on a Sunday as on any other day of the week.

The home win over Rotherham United over the Christmas/New Year period a couple of seasons ago was technically on a Sunday I think. Although it wasn't a real Sunday.

Equally we also need to clinch our play-off place before then, I suppose the final will be on a Sunday and that would be the time to break the spell.:)
