'fraid so, purely a question of economics.

 

£25 just to get in would be cheap if you didn't have to factor in other expenses. If you went in car, you could spend 4 hours in Pool itself then there is the food and drink costs and cost of petrol or other travel means. If you take children could work out a lot more.

If you begrudge a day out for the family as well, mine used to enjoy going to places and shops etc they would not otherwise see, crooked spires etc.

Can you consider food costs when you would eat anyway regardless of where you were? Also spending time in Blackpool is separate to going to the football, you would be saving on travel costs compared to a trip to an away match and a separate trip to the seaside.

Why would anyone consider going to Blackpool on the 9th JANUARY if there is no Football match ?
