Starting eleven vs Scunthorpe?

Lots of questions ahead of this game.

Do you drop most of the team after the Exeter performance or do you (as Rob Page says) take into account this is the eleven that were almost unbeaten in November and give them a chance to show they're better than they were vs Exeter?

The Sentinel seems to think that McGivern will partner Duffy in the centre and either Yates or even Deen-Conteh (a massive gamble, surely) will come in at left-back.

Is there a place for Moore on the wing? Should Foley move back into the middle? Should Uche or even Hooper get a chance upfront?

Post a reply with who you think should be in the starting 11...

Streete always seems to get dropped before he can get a run of games under his belt.

Page seems to have gone right off him.

Gotta trust the boss on this one.

I'd have in the starting XI every time on ability, but we don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

I'm pretty sure he's not too happy warming the bench now having been a star last time round.

Page will probably say 'go out and put right what you all did wrong last week' which means playing the same XI.

I like Streete but the problem is we don't have that many very competitive reserve games which means that players who have been out for a while can't be fully match fit and up to speed.

We all know, however, that without Uche at his best, and without Moore & Andoh we don't look great going forwards.

Throw into the mix the fact that Inniss is still out and Dicko now too and we are probably 4-5 players short of what we all might believe is our best team - and that's too many to cope without.

That said, after last week's debacle I expect a far more determined performance tomorrow.

Alnwick

Purkiss

Streete

Duffy

McGivern

Moore (if fit-kelly if not)

O'Connor

Grant

Foley

Leitch-Smith

Hooper

I'd like to see Deen-Conteh as he's been fairly impressive in reserves. Would give the back 4 another go as there is not much other choice apart from Yates out of position and Exeter was the first time that backline had been tried. Hope if Uche comes on that he gets back into goalscoring form. He's had a poor month or so.

But whatever the team we should be winning this one.

Is Michael Brown fit and available as a playing option right now? He gave the impression he was on tv a few weeks ago and seemed a little frustrated then that he was not getting picked by Page. I would pick him ahead of Birchall every time and 'A team of Michael Browns' would never have given that hopeless display at Exeter!

Definitely not the game to blood Deen-Conteh, very unfair to the player if nothing else. Too many politics and issues in the ether.

Should give most of the Exeter lot the chance to show us if they can play with a bit more pride, maybe Id have some more width with Moore in, not sure if Streete has lost his confidence so maybe Yates, Duffy, McG and Purkiss in front of Jak, Okey, Foley, Grant, Moore and then its either Dodds and Ajay or try Uche/Hooper for one of those two.
