Do you think they really care? They have no ties to their club other than their bank accounts to be blunt.

I really don't think that's the case with most players at our level. They will be on decent money, but not millionaire money. They need to keep playing to sustain mortgages and families etc - and professional pride is a motivation.

If you want truly-don't-give-a-**** footballers, the Premier League is stuffed with them. They are so rich that they don't need to care, because they are financially-secure after a year or two.

YaYa Toure is a prime example, Adebayor was the same, Benteke another. Diego Costa - what a ******.

However Page shuffles the pack, for me, Foley needs to in the central midfield. O'Connor has been poor since his return.

Completely agree with this. Not only has O'Connor been a shadow of the player he was last season, but Grant's form has deteriorated since Foley was moved out of the middle. Grant now seems unsure whose job it is to sit in front of the back four, as O'Connor plays this role as well.

Victory on Saturday would give us 32 points after 21 games.

That would be a a very decent points haul, and it could be even better if we get something at Walsall.

Hope so,as I was hoping for 34 points by Christmas. We can then aim for 50 for potential safety, but we always have a bad return of points towards end of season.Fingers crossed

Thought I'd post something about the next match - someone has to.

Given all the shenanigans behind the scenes I wonder whether we'll even turn up. It's quite clear now the players knew about what was going on before the Exeter match and the performance suffered.

Should it have though? They are professionals who knew we had an excellent chance of securing a 3rd Round tie.

Whatever was and is going on at the Club should have made them even more determined to put in a performance, if only for those fans travelling all that way. It has been reported many times that the squad are with RP and are very friendly with him so if they knew that Smurf was up to something in selling the Club surely they would want to back RP?

Makes no sense to me whatsoever that so called pro footballers could simply show no passion or commitment for an important match because there was "something going on behind the scenes!"

Love or hate Smurf, the players owe every fan a duty to attempt to be their best at every game. No excuses.

I've worked under some dreadful management regimes over the years but one thing remained constant - my 100% commitment to my employers, the ones who credited my bank account with my pay cheque.

We can say that but they're the ones that have futures and livelihoods on the line. Often they've moved area to play for Vale. If I was in their position I know how I'd feel.
