tbh i expected nothing other than a defeat on sat , especially when i saw the line up . what i did not bank on was how awful shrewsbury would be but you can only beat what is in front of you and it was probably the easiest win we will achieve this season , did shrews have a shot on target ?

on the subject of mcgivern , he is never a centre half in a million years and is an accident waiting to happen . his best position is left back but i am not sure he would beat dicko to a shirt . vales goal was well worked and came at the right time but if anyone believes that a forward line of dodds and ajls is going to see us anywhere other than relegated they need to wake up and smell the coffee.

A win is a win is a win--stop being such a pessimistic killjoy!

Shrewsbury - what has happened. A nothing team. No shots for 80 mins. Tyrone Barnett was a £1m player now looks like someone who had never seen a ball before.

I think Barnett comes with that kind of reputation talking to Posh and now Shrewsbury fans, on his day as good a striker as you'll see in the lower leagues but on others he's lazy and offers very little. Considering Macc Town had him from Hednesford in non-league before he got the move to Peterboro it's probably about what you'd expect.

Fantastic win!!

It really wasn't. Did you go - To see just how awful the opposition were on the day? They looked like an average League Two side. Any three points is always welcome and never a given in any of our leagues, but to call it a fantastic win is a bit silly. It was a win in a game we should be winning, nothing more, nothing less.

Agreed. Wigan, Doncaster and Sheff Utd were fantastic. Saturday was a run of the mill win against a much inferior side, on the day.

Disagree, just depends on what you class as an inferior side.... an inferior side that beat Bury the week before, or was it meant in the context, a fantastic win on the back of 5 bad results for us, so in case of the later I would also say fantastic win, but an average performance.
