Rob Page's tactics were spot on at the start of the game, he set up with a fluid formation to go 4-5-1 when we hadn't got the ball and or 4-3-3 when we had, sensible tactics away from home. All that changed with Uche's sending off, from then on we fought hard and were difficult to break down but conceded a fluke goal in the 85th minute and a consolation counter attack goal in the 90th. Result flattered them.

 

Frustrating, the manager should stay but he and Smurf need to sort out the striker/goal scoring issue quickly.

Another away game with no shots on target, no dangerous attacks and no threat at all. Uche was a disgrace yes but only one direction with this guy in charge. Page out.

Back home now, thanks Vale for putting up an absolute shambles of a performance.

And now our only decent striker is out the next game, we are left with makeshift strikers because of his lack of testicular fortitude and sense in pre season.

We haven't shown indiscipline all season. He can't control a players actions once on the pitch

Vale poor on the road again and Uche making poor decisions again. Burton must be on a lower budget than Vale and this is Page's team this year so he has no excuses and if we lose to Shrewsbury then it could be time up.

Their sending off didn't 'even it up' whatsoever as we had played the majority of the game with 10 men so our lads were shattered.

if only games were only 80 minutes long..... Why is it that no matter who the manager is, no matter who the players are, we always balls it up in the last 10 minutes?

 

Our conceding late late goals has been an all too expensive trait over the last three seasons--I've lost count of the number we have leaked in the 90+ minutes period!

Page must go now surely. The next disaster on the horizon is a another round one or two exit from the FA cup and like I have stated on other threads the home crowds will soon dwindle as Christmas looms.

thats outrageous, and ridiculous, your banging on about a manager whos got:

no promotions to his name

no trophies to his name

sick of everybody on here loving rosler whats he done to convince anyone he would do anything? page is to blame yes, but at least a quarter or even half is the players blame, page sets out his plans tactics etc, the players arent doing there bit either!

How much longer have we got to put up with shocking away performances, mediocre players,late substitutions, falling attendances, and a manager who is reactive in his decisions rather than being proactive ?

Page must be on borrowed time now. Up until now I have thought he needs more time, he will come good for us, but am beginning to realise we need to do something or we will be in a relegation battle

couple of vale fans on radio at mo talking garbage

one wants Williamson back and one saying its all because of the big teams above us...ITS NOT....its key management decisions at home and away that are costing us points, and the lack of a goalscorer...talking about budgets burton don't have a higher budget than us but are being managed correctly. I fully expect hasselbaink to be managing a top side sooner rather than later. and that is the difference
