No. Both goals came 10 v 10. We were garbage before Uche's sending off. Yes we missed the wingers, but I don't get why Page didn't change things when they went down to 10. Too negative and yes, the retained list and the lack of quality will be his downfall. Has to go now.

 

Page must go now surely. The next disaster on the horizon is a another round one or two exit from the FA cup and like I have stated on other threads the home crowds will soon dwindle as Christmas looms.

There always seems a lot of emphasis on the playing budget ! Be very intresting to know Burtons budget compared to ours !

 

Fair point but I'll add that Burton's budget is probably not spread over a cast of thousands, many of whom are there to fill the training pitch and won't get near the first team.

Against 11 men we drew the game.

They have a man sent off to even it up and supposedly give us an advantage and we concede twice.

Too many average players.

Can't defend.

Can't score.

No plan B.

2 away wins in almost 8 months.

2 wins in the last 10.

We are 17th and have already failed to beat the teams in 18th, 23rd and 24th.

Knocked out of the JPT by 19th placed Blackpool who changed their entire team.

Failed to score in 5 of 8 away games.

No win in 5.

 

I can't see where the next win is coming from.

you cant blame uche really for a moment of madness. he has more good games than bad. what was interesting was ray Williams comment on radio biased where he said he thought it was pages blunder for not taking off uche after the first booking because his head had gone then.... besides that I do think we cant go on any longer with the same old routine. ive had enough , its time to go rob !

Third of the season gone. Relegation battle ahead. Corners horrendous both ends of the pitch. Will JJ be the answer to our goals threat now Uche is out for a few games?

I didn't want Page in the first place but if we get rid of him who would we replace him with. Also how can the replacement turn this rabble into a football team? The cheaper option might be to keep Page on until the end of the season.

 

Replace him with one of the traffic cones used in practising corners, they're cheap and understand exactly how we defend corners.

Same old Vale both teams down to ten men, one manager wants to win the other hang on. Rob Page in trouble following this and the next game becomes crucial. More problems now scoring goals which needs sorting quickly.

Agree. We have a big squad of mediocre players. We need a smaller squad of better players and then use the loan market for cover.

We've only scored in 3 of our 8 away league games this season.

 

We're never going to be able to get into the top half until that changes, and I'm not sure it will change under this manager.

On Tuesday it was a lack of application and motivation, today player indiscipline. In both matches, and too many more, our inability to defend a set piece has cost us dearly. These are fundamentally management issues and Page has got to put them right, starting with next week's game, where he needs three points and a performance, or Norman's patience will be wearing thin. Page is on borrowed time.
