I would be surprised to see anything other than 4500.

Having been to Coventry and witnessing zero shots on target and also having gone to Bury back in September and witnessing zero shots on target. I am seriously considering staying in the pub today instead of watching the utter boring dross that we are putting up.

Just about had enough.

It's a long way to come just to stay in the pub Spunkers.

It is i know. I have just had a great christmas and Vale always ruin things.

The longer it went on at Coventry the more frustrated i got. I called their subs five minutes beforehand. I called their goal, although fancied two nil. Told my dad the sub would score. Said we would bring JJ on for his normal cameo as soon asthey scored. But got most angry when we made our last sub and didnt take off Grant, who was a holding midfielder and one booking away from missing Bury.

At one down, we didnt need him! GO FOR IT! And what happens? Yep. He gets booked. I was fuming. Is Page really that stupid i thought?

Now, i also saw Walsall and you can see its so predictable! We are NOT playing well! Working hard, yes. But being set up all wrong.

Our home form has been good. Not denying that. My last one was Blackpool. It was a dire performance though. Boring as hell and how we won that i will never know.

Although being chuffed at the 3 points it was a grim game in grim amosphere.

1283 we took Coventry. I expected 2500! Apathy has set in. With all what is going on with the club we should be galvanised as fans and roar the lads on. However there is nothing to roar on!

Do i want to spend 23 quid and sit bored for 2 hours on my last day in the country? Or do i want to put some bets on and watch the scores come through in the warmth of my local?

Sad state of affairs when i feel like that and although i am not a hardcore supporter in terms of me living abroad, i would be if i was living here.

So i can totally understand why we are not attracting walkups, as there is little to no incentive whatsoever in going today.

Funny enough this is the exact dilemma we have, there's 5 of us heading to Burslem from Leek at lunch time for beers then the match but it's already been mentioned we might skip the match and stay in the pub rather than waste £23 each on the match, will see how it plays out.

That would be pretty foolish when our home record is one of the best in the country and only 11 league teams from 72 have scored more goals than us at home.

I should have a go at the Lotto rollover on Wednesday night if you are that good at predictions,£42m will come in handy.

Spunkers is not alone. There are many, many more disgruntled fans out there, undecided as to whether to waste hard earned money on drivel, predictable, boring fare being dished up regularly by Vale. As a hardened season ticket holder, I , too have to question why I carry on going and watching dross. I will however be there in the eternal hope that matters improve and smiles return to the Valiant faithful.
