And which money tree growing in the grounds of Vale Park is going to fund the wages and transfer fee for such a person do you think? The only new signings we have taken on have come from non-league and it is well known that we can't afford to take on better players, just like last season with Davies and Whit!

 

We are not about to replace Sutton with someone who is better than the current crop we have and neither are we likely to get onyone as good. Which means that we are left with getting someone who can provide a good supporting role in case who we have is injured or suspended, a good squad player, just like Sutton was!

Does it not also show the instincts of the Board that, given three years of absolutely awful financial figures when they couldn't find a pot to **** in for new players they suddenly magic up 50 grand to buy shares - 50 grand which goes into someone else's pocket and not the club?

 

I agree it's crap but all it shows is one bunch are willing to do what it takes to stay in power and the other isn't willing to do what it takes to remove them.

 

I wouldn't care if Mo forgot the new shares and just bought up existing ones if it got him in power. A signed contract between Mo and the Shareholder, you vote the board off at the next gm and when I'm installed I'll give you £6 a share.

 

If he wants the company he has to secure the votes, he's known that for months and failed to do it. He's got you lot eating out of his hands by getting lb to tickle you bellies but it's not enough.

 

 

anyway this is all off topic as we're meant to be talking about Sutton. Decent player when called upon and probably not dealt with as courteously as he should have been by MA but he'll be replaced I'm sure.

For the last time Mo Chaudry offered to buy from ordinary shareholders at

face value...the offer to buy from the Board was withdrawn and Rob Lee is not an ordinary shareholder but sponsored a director such that the shareholding was part of the Board.

Rob Lee wouldn't have never sold the shares to Mo Chaudry because otherwise he would have sold them to Mo Chaudry at the price agreed

which was 40k plus 5k of free advertising...if Rob Lee had wanted the 50k

why agree to 45k.....Rob Lee may not have even sold the shares after all and is said to have been promised the position of Chairman and could actually put 300k in to secure the 51% that the "Cartel" want.

 

So from the squad that once got to the top of the league and bottled it

we have lost the Captain Tommy Fraser who had experience and leadership and had played over 100 games mostly in League 1....we have lost Kris Taylor who is experienced and has won two promotions from this division

and is the only player who can take a good free kick....and considering Bell was released as well Collins has no cover at left back....now Sutton has also gone to play non-league as the money is better and there is no cover at centre back or right back.......we have signed a young midfielder/left winger with no experience and have a young inexperienced striker on loan.

 

If Adams doesn't sort out a left back and someone versatile who can play both right back and centre back and if Adams doesn't get in some experience then following a bad start Adams could get a flashback to Sheffield United and chants of "You don't know what your'e doing".....

If this was the case, then why has Micky Adams publically stated he wanted to speak to Sutton personally today to see what could be done?

 

Why wasn't Sutton's situation sorted out before the EGM, when the board was still functional? Adams knows the player and all he would have to do is decide whether he'd keep him or not. If he didn't want him, then tell him straight, not wait around until another club comes in with an offer and then express some measure of disappointment that Sutton actually decided to move on.

 

Now we have Roberts coming to the end of his contract tomorrow. Still no decision on this announced. Don't you think everything is being left until rather late in the day?
