I rarely criticise players. I always try to see the positives but what impact can birchall make? He is simply an average footballer who tends not to let his team down but he has no ability to make any sort of chance. His comments have really angered me.

I think we should make an example of him and withdraw yeh contract.

How ridiculous. It's not not as though he is forced to sign. If it's not good enough, then sign one of the other offers. You can only assume there weren't any or they were worse offers, in which case he should be saying thank you. Now we risk having a wage wasted on an unmotivated player who's not happy. Page needs to bring in some good players to redeem himself from the carnage of his retained list. Only mad jim managed to lose the fans quicker.
